Description
The Blue Tipped Rose Oil Painting is on a 16 by 20 inch gallery wrap canvas. I selected this rose to paint because of it's unique combination of colors. The work was a nice challenge in mixing and blending to get the results for a realistic approach. I changed several of the petal shapes hopefully to give the rose center a more traditional look and make it easier for me to paint. The black background really makes the rose vivid. The pallet is very simple using a bit aliz. crimson, permanent rose, purple, prussan blue, lamp black, and tit. white
