Artist's Description
I painted 'Kitty Cat' in acrylics on a hand stretched 12x12 inch gallery wrap canvas. This is a 10 by 8 inch head shot from the original painting, should you prefer it over the full body view. The piece was a commission with the only request by the customer, was to have 'slate blue' in the back ground. It worked out well with the black and whites of the cat. I embellished the background with some pink to match the ears and nose. The black markings on the head were easy, but the shades of whites to give the body and fur shape, took some work. Hope you like it.

I spent most of my working life in the technical field, but the yearning to fulfill my desire to draw and paint was strong, and I found my real passion was to paint. With the gracious support of my wife Carolyn, painting full time became a reality. For me, painting is a gift from God, and the ultimate release of creativity. I paint subjects that catch my eye or from my imagination and don't specialize in any particular area of painting; but, want to make every one of my works special. I enjoy all of it: from taking photographs one day and on to painting landscapes or portraits the next day. ...
